Join local author Raghu Avali as he discusses his book Artificial Intelligence: Promise and Perils. He hope to demystify AI, discuss its potential benefits, and raise awareness about the ethical and societal implications it presents. He will also talk about its impact on jobs, healthcare, and transportation.

About the author: Raghu Avali worked for 25 years at Westinghouse Electric Company, managing the automation efforts for China's world's first AP1000 reactors. Transitioning to Carnegie Mellon University, Raghu managed a large defense contract to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to enhance modern warfare capabilities. Having retired from his career, Raghu Avali has published his first book, Artificial Intelligence - Promise and Perils.
