Program Description

Event Details

Get ready for the growing season at Northland with our first ever seed swap! What's a seed swap? It's a gathering of people with the purpose of sharing seeds, and a great place to discover new seeds and friends in your community. Participants can bring locally harvested seeds and/or commercially purchased seeds to share.

This is a 1:1 swap and participants can bring up to 5 varieties to share. Edible plants are encouraged; no invasive species, please. Participants should label their donations with as much information as possible, including common name & variety, Latin name for genus/species, the year the seeds were collected, and any extra information or tips for growing.

Drop off your seed donations at 1:30 PM, and return to the meeting rooms from 2:00-3:00 PM to begin the exchange. Seeds will be labeled in bins by type with envelopes & supplies for participants to take a portion home.

Any seeds remaining at 3:00 PM will be free to anyone who wants them.
