When Gilles/Reza trades a book for a sandwich, little does he know that this would save his life. The book is in Farsi and the commandant needs a person to help him learn the language, so he can open up a restaurant in Iran after the war. Gilles/Reza volunteers to do this even though he doesn’t know the language. The prisoner and the commandant develop a special bond. How long can Gilles/Reza fool everyone.
